PSA 2021 Spring Season Kick-Off Info

Spring Season Kick-Off Info to help get you ready for the start of an awesome season!

If you don't remember what day you chose for your child to practice on simply log back into your account through our website and click on the "pencil/paper" icon by your child's name. This will take you into their registration info and you can see on the right hand side what day you signed up for.

***A recent update on Mandate 195 and NCYSA's (North Carolina Youth Soccer Association) Executive Board Statement can be read and downloaded here. This is to help our members understand the rules we have in place in order to move forward with having a Spring season while working to stay within the rules and regulations in place for NC.

Parent expectations for practices:


  • One parent will be allowed to escort their child/children to their field(s) for practices.
  • Parents can watch from around the fence line at HPAC while socially distancing and wearing a mask during our Pool Training sessions on the following dates: March 1st, March 2nd, March 8th, and March 9th.

  • Parents will be allowed around the fields (socially distanced) once Team Practices start on March 15th & 16th and recommended to wear a mask. *Per State Mandate 195, put in place by Gov. Cooper*
  • Players must have a mask on during trainings/practices/games. *Per State Mandate 195, put in place by Gov. Cooper*

  • Please abide by the rules so that we can have an incredible season!

Things to have with you in order for your child to participate:


  • Player Waiver filled out if your child did not play with us in the Fall 2020 season. Download here!

  • Copy of player’s Birth Certificate if this is your first time with our league. Our staff only needs to see this in order to make a record of it. *This is a requirement by US Soccer.

We will have our staff there helping to direct you to where you need to go on Monday and Tuesday during the pool training sessions. Also, practice day field maps for teams and pool training will be available on our website under the "FIELDS INFO" tab as they
are confirmed.


Practice / Pool Training Schedule(s):

Monday, March 1st and Monday, March 8th (for Monday Players) - ALL divisions will be having Pool Training sessions from
5:30 PM to 6:30 PM

Tuesday, March 2nd and Tuesday, March 9th (for Tuesday Players) - ALL divisions will be having Pool Training sessions from
5:30 PM to 6:30 PM


Starting Monday, March 15th - ALL Team practices will be from 6 PM to 7 PM for the remainder of the season.*Monday Teams Only

Starting Tuesday, March 16th - ALL Team practices will be from 6 PM to 7 PM for the remainder of the season.*Tuesday Teams Only


Gregg Weigel (Rec Director), Teddy Holcomb (Operations Coordinator/Head Registrar), and PSA Board of Directors members will be at both nights of practice to answer any questions anyone may have and checking for your player’s Player Waiver and Player Birth Certificate in order for them to participate.



**Here is what pool training is:


Soccer Pool Training: A fluid movement of players between designated playing fields or “pools” for training sessions and occasionally matches, allowing the soccer club/coaching staff to individualize player development per their ages/abilities. The staff can compare notes on the players to determine how staff can help with player's development.



Cancellations/Rescheduling:

If practices get canceled due to bad weather or fields being closed, the following is how our rescheduling works:

Monday Team Practices - move to Wednesday of the same week. 
Tuesday Team Practices - move to Thursday of the same week.

Everything as far as practice time, practice field, etc. will stay the same. Please know that ultimately the reschedule date is dependent on whether the PSA Staff or your coach can be there or not as well. PSA Staff/Coaches will reach out to the league or their teams with more defined details pertaining to their rescheduled practice.
